That was the rollcalls we yelled at the UNPAD Student Day, Saturday September 1st..

The weather was extremely hot, but even that failed to drive out all the new students of UNPAD..
They stuck around, sitting in the center of the soccer field, watching every UKM of UNPAD showed their talent, including AIESEC LC UP..

We did it with style,, and SPIRIT of course!!
Style!
Coz we dressed like a walking flags..
Many little flags, from countries all over the world, were patched tou our AIESEC uniforms..
Spirit!
Coz we brought our "orange-shocking" banner, accompanied by "Woi AIESEC - Wazzup" greetings..
Followed by AIESEC HOT TO GO and SPIRIT of course..

We definitely gave them some effect, cos they swarmed our stand to ask everything about AIESEC..
Only with Rp 8000,- form fee, they'll get the opportunity to have global experience, leadership and exchange, plus two bottles of free milk!!
Too irresistible!!
So far there are more than 300 applicants that wanna join AIESEC..

Hoi Aiesec!!

Have you ever seen Thailand girls for real??
Have you ever seen Spanish guys hitting their "sword" at each other??
Have you ever seen a half naked Malaysian guy smashing "balloons"??

Then too bad!!
Coz AIESEC's Culture Day that was held at Friday August 29th have showed it all!!
Performed by more than 5 countries all over the world, the show was amazing..
The event was in conjunction with Bandung International Folklore Festival that was held that week..

The opening was attended by all new FE student, quite a crowd huh!?
Of course, it's followed by AIESEC's roll call which have just introduced by our guests from AI at the bonding event.. SISISISIYAYA!!
Then the Thai's with their exquisite dance have charmed us..
Followed by our own dancers from Riau who performs -kinda theatrical- dances..
After that, the Italians had their own way to attract us with their "waving skirts"..
Moreover, "clanging swords" was one of Spanish performance that really amazing..
Sundanese culture had definitely been showed by our dancers from Krakatau Steel..
Military, that was the theme for Polish performance, atten hut!!
The Malaysian, who dressed only with his skin, challenged the audiences to shoot some balloons with a blowpipe..
The last but not least, Sri Lanka, never bored with that "hat" of theirs..

Well,, that wraps it!!
We do hope they'll return for another dance..

Bonding Event term 0708

do you know ?? on sunday morning, August 26 2007 we have internal event named Bonding event.
in this event there are presentation from each functional about their planning, exchange education and farewell party to TYA because she is accepted to do intern in malaysia. well, say good luck to her.

but, not only that. in the middle of the event, we have special visitor. they are AI team in term 1999/2000. one of them is mbak Ade, she is alumni from AIESEC UP. she handle exchange in AI. althought they come very quick but we are all refresh up with their stories and they really motivate and inspiring us.

and, farewell party for TYA is good too.
when she is talking in front of member, some of us are came and say : "surprise" to her with a cake, and some gift from us. then, tya blow up the candle and take our gift. and then we all are take some picture together. ut was really nice. and we hope we can do internship like she does. hehehehe.

Update office UP

Pertama kali dalam sejarah AIESEC UP, akhirnya target kita untuk mempunyai office di bandung akan segera terealisasi. Yippiee !!! Hal ini adalah salah satu dari Local focus area di Indonesia yaitu tentang government and accountability.

Setelah melakukan research selama kurang lebih 3 bulan, maka kami akhirnya memutuskan untuk menyewa sebuah ruangan kecil seluas 2,5 x 4 m2 dengan harga sewa Rp. 6.000.000 / tahun. Ruangan tersebut adalah salah satu ruangan dari ruangan-ruangan lainnya di sebuah bangunan “Graha Putra” yang terletak di Jl. Haji Wasid No. 29 Bandung. Bangunan tersebut terletak tidak jauh dari kampus UNPAD Dipati Ukur, jaraknya ± 150 meter.

Menurut kami, ruangan tersebut adalah yang paling terjangkau. karena letaknya yang dekat dengan kampus, adanya penjagaan selama 24 jam, tempat parkir yang luas, fasilitas dan service yang lengkap, dengan suasana sekitarnya yang mendukung.

Ruangan tersebut sudah dibayarkan DP nya sebesar Rp. 500. 000, dan maksimum pelunasan sampai dengan tanggal 30 agustus 2007. Sebenarnya kami menyewa gedung tersebut dengan harapan bahwa kami bisa menyewa ruangan di sebelahnya yang jauh lebih luas jika masa kontrak ruangan tersebut sudah selesai. Dan rencana pengeluaran kami juga difokuskan untuk pembelian satu set computer, dan peralatan lainnya yang diperlukan oleh office tersebut. Oleh karena itu, kami selaku member AIESEC UNPAD mengajak kepada para alumni AIESEC UNPAD untuk ikut berkontribusi dalam perealisasian office tersebut. Untuk meningkatkan kualitas membership, maka kami merasa bahwa office sangat diperlukan sebagai pusat informasi dan pusat kegiatan para membernya.

SN Travel....

Who's said that Indonesia not savety?? it's like a bullshit cause Me(david) SN manager of Mark Polling from Dutch already made the statement is just like none sense...wahhaaha....

30-1 April 2007, Me, Mark, Nick(Mark's Friend), Julien(my French Friend), and Vasa come to Pulau Seribu. We miss beach and also beach lover so we go to there. Pulau Seribu located in north of Jakarta. Why called Pulau Seribu??there are alot of island that u can explore!! amazing for us because the plan is we will visit 5 island and that's realized!!!

1st we go with the faster boat "Lumba-lumba" in Marina harbour at 8 o'clock. Before we sleep in Jalan jaksa and do some crazything...hahaha...they called me Elvis in there cause my voice.... ;) Because small party..we late to wakeup and almost lost the Boat!!about 3 hours travel....to Pulau Pramuka (Pramuka Island) place that we will sleep!
it's was Great travel because Excellent view and fantastic Phanorama. We prefer to stay on the top of the boat cause we dont wanna mizzed every view!Nick and Mark sleep about 30 minutes cause they just sleep 2 hours.

Finnaly we arrive on Pulau Pramuka,
after launch we go to 2 snorkling place and 3 island!1st snorkling it was amazing cause we saw beatifull view under the sea. I was amazing also because i feel like not in Indonesia cause almost all island still Virgin. after that we go to another coral area...also great !! and what we saw??group of tuna fish make some people worry....and also we find flying fish.....Ahhhhh......Fantastic!at that moment i feel very lucky cause im Indonesian.whahaha..Then we go to island with very white sand.....im remember Lord Of the Ring..cause the view look like in that Movie....Big tree and green sea!! I make Indonesia map with sand and also Nick, he make dutch map!!....after swimming and Go to the another Coral area...we back with sunset baground......Man....what a wonderfull world........!

2nd day....
We bit disappointed cause in the island there no beer or kind of that. But after we sleep 4 hours....we wake up to go to Snorkling place and small island.."Pulau Semak Daun". The coral view better than yesterday! We are snorkling again in 2 corals Area, but anothers people to tierd to snorkling so they fishing!!!This is the last day so we dont wanna mizzed evey moment.....

After Snorkling the Final destination is "Pulau Semak Daun". Small island with great white sand and also green and blue view......u can see fish on the lip of the beach.....i remember "BEACH" movie...so i feel like in that movie whahaha...we are loking around the island about 10 minutes, we find a BALL...so we play some beach ball. after swimming with fish and hunting star fish, we feel very hungry....so we back!! it's last trip to the island and we packing to go back to Bandung. Back to Lovely city with surounding mountains. Aaaahhh....now our stress already lost and we ready for our routine!GREAT Travel Man,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

EB Back to Nature

Sunday, 25th March 2007. All EB and our trainee from Netherlands, Mark, went to Dago Pakar Conservative Forest until Maribaya for sunday sport and It's really fun. Dago Pakar Conservative Forest is a place to keep water supply and also there are two caves, Dutch Cave and Japanese cave. They had been used for storing amour and fortress in colonization era. There is path also that connect Bandung and Maribaya and a lot of people use it as a shortcut especially street seller. This road can be taken by walk, motorcycle, and bicycle. If we walk it will take 2.5 hours to go and back, but if we use motorcycle it just take 20 minutes.
Some of the EB never been there before and we had a lot of new experience such as see Omas Waterfall in Maribaya, ate honey after it was being taken from it nest, took picture with local children, etc.

SN Promo at UNPAD

(Saturday 24 March 2007) AIESEC LC UNPAD just held SN promo sponsored by ILP. We try to open opportunities to all Padjadjaran University Student to take internship program and we try to explain what is AIESEC, what is the important this from global experience for self development, and trainee sharing experience. In this event AIESEC has special guest, Mr. Urip as (Representative of international relationship department Padjadjaran University), our trainee Mark that being intern in Institute Technology Harapan Bangsa (ITHB) as our TN taker. The audience can get meaningful reflection through this event about how important of Global experience. That is AIESEC offer to youth as world citizen.

LCP LC UP election

LC UNPAD just held LCP election at 17 March 2007. There were 2 LCP candidates this year, David Susandi dan I Made Yusdi. Election start at 4 pm. with our lovely chair Bang Theo and also LC UP has honorably guest two alumni, Mas Audi and Pandu Rosadi.
After we held the election for 5 hours LC UP has Local Committee President Elected for term 0708, I Made Yusdi.
CONGRATULATION!!!

For David many opportunities still open to reach your dream!

Learning Network - Education

AIESEC UNPAD bekerja sama dengan organisasi BEM-FE dengan prokadisunya untuk melangsungkan Learning Network dengan tema education. Banyak sekali anak AIESEC yang menyadari bahwa mereka memiliki bakat untuk mengajar anak-anak. Pelajaran yang diberikan berupa belajar matematika, bahasa inggris, dan lain-lain.
Kegiatan ini membawa dampak yang sangat positif dalam membangun persepsi kedua belah pihak, yaitu antara AIESEC dengan organisasi kampus lainnya. Learning network inipun berlangsung di kampus Jatinangor dan mendapat respon yang tinggi.

Back from IPM

Great time in IPM 2007, Egypt. Since me, Aidy, LCP UNPAD, elected as MCP AIESEC Indonesia. I should go to IPM 2007 just 7 days after National Conference III in Padang. It's really great experience for me, met a lot of people in AIESEC that I just had seen before in website, proposal, or even poster. I talked to many people about Indonesia and AIESEC in many countries. My eyes was opened with many things. Especially with great great PAI election. WOOWW... so inspiring moment and I truly blessed be there in IPM 2007.
